To
promote internationally the advancement of science, research,
and practice related to the promotion of heart health and the
prevention of heart disease and stroke on a global scale. The
Society shall endeavor to achieve these objectives by promoting
the exchange of existing knowledge through organization of international
scientific conferences and by sponsoring symposia, and workshops
or co-sponsoring these with other scientific societies; fostering
inter-disciplinary public health approaches and research; fostering
the dissemination of knowledge by promoting the publication of
the proceedings of its international meetings.
To
establish, maintain and promote an appropriate liaison and exchange
with, and wherever possible representation at societies of other
scientists at the international level who have professional interests
and aims similar to those of the Society.
